Do you repair fibre cables?

Yes we can fault find to within 2 meters with our ODTR network cabling test equipment and repair your cable onsite with the Fusion Splicer.

What is the difference between CAT5 and CAT6 cable?

The bandwidth of Cat6 is around double that of a Cat5(e) network. Which is why the cost of Cat6 cabling is around 25% more expensive.

What are the most common network faults?

75% of network faults are due to cabling not being tested and certified properly during installation.  All installations of CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A and CAT7 structured cabling and fibre optic installations should be completed with a full test report and certification, this will guarantee and provide product warranty for your network. All singlemode and multimode fibre installed and fusion spliced by Allied Wiring gives you the best possible test results to comply with the industry standards.

Will you provide a certificate after paying for testing?

Any fully tested network cable conducted by Allied Wiring will provide you with a certificate for your network. Our trained engineers will explain the results to you. We will advise upgrades and repairs should we find anything that may hinder your data transfer.
